CHARACTERISTICS
SEA LETTUCE (ULVA LACTUCA) is a green seaweed belonging to the Chlorophyceae class. Among algae, it is one of the best known species, is the richest in chlorophyll and is the closest to terrestrial plants.
NUTRITIONAL VALUES
ORGANIC SEA LETTUCE IN FLACKES is a seaweed particularly rich in calcium (30 times more than milk). SEA LETTUCE draws an incomparable wealth of bioavailable minerals and trace elements from the marine environment. It is particularly rich in Iron, containing on average 15 times more than egg yolk and spinach. It contains Copper, Zinc, Phosphorus, Sulphur, Selenium, Manganese.

PROPERTIES
Its main use in nutrition is related to the intake of Calcium and Magnesium. Vegetables generally contain Calcium, but some (spinach, rhubarb) also contain a lot of Oxalic Acid, which forms, with Calcium, Calcium Oxalate, which is insoluble and non-absorbable. The same phenomenon occurs with chocolate.
