CHARACTERISTICS
DULSE (PALMARIA PALMATA) is a red seaweed belonging to the Rhodophyceae class, it has a beautiful red-purple colour. It is native to the North Atlantic.
NUTRITIONAL VALUES
ORGANIC DULSE SEAWEED in flakes is naturally rich in mineral salts. The concentration in Mineral Salts is exceptionally high: 112 minerals and trace elements are present. It particularly contains Potassium (its concentration is 34 times that of bananas), Iron, Copper, Zinc, Phosphorus, Calcium and Magnesium.
ORGANIC DULSE SEAWEED in flakes contains beta-carotene, alpha-carotene and their hydroxylated derivatives (zeaxanthin, lutein). Vitamins B6, B12, E, and Vitamin C. Vitamin C strengthens the immune system, activates intestinal absorption of iron, controls the formation of connective tissue and bone tissue matrix and also acts as a radical scavenger, regenerating the Vitamin E pool.
PROPERTIES
Its main use in nutrition is known to naturally supplement minerals in the diet. It has now been shown that even a normal balanced diet, i.e. one that is varied and complete, both in terms of calories and the ratio of macro-nutrients, provides only about 80% of the recommended requirement (RDA) of certain micro-nutrients.
Mineral Salts and Trace Elements are not produced by our body, and therefore need to be taken from outside, they are essential for our health, as they contribute fundamentally to the proper functioning of our body. DULSE ALGAE, thanks to its richness in mineral salts, trace elements, amino acids and vitamins of high biological value, increases the nutritional value of the daily diet.
ORGANIC DULSE ALGAE flackes in particular are indicated for optimal supplementation of important micronutrients in the daily diet and especially in the Vegan and Vegetarian Diet, in the diet of Celiacs and in Crudist diets.
HOW TO USE
ORGANIC DULSE in Flackes are small fragments of seaweed leaves that can be used like AROMATIC HERBS and added to any dish, without rehydration and without wasting time, simply by sprinkling a handful taken straight from the packet.
In this way, no combination is precluded: RAW or COOKED, ORGANIC DULSE ALGAE IN FLOCKS can be enjoyed in a thousand ways. With pasta or rice, in soups, in a dressing or side dish, in an omelette, on pizza or…….. wherever the imagination takes you.
